When Mukesh Ambani-Nita Ambani introduced Isha Ambani at Le Bal 2012
Who does not enjoy a throwback photo from good times? Take a look at Isha Ambani with Mukesh Ambani and Nita Ambani at the ‘Le Bal 2012.
According to a Forbes 2012 report, Mukesh Ambani had undergone a crash course in ballroom dancing and etiquette.
Isha Ambani’s fashion repertoire has an impeccable taste. From Schiaparelli saree, robot babies, to exquisite gowns, the Reliance heiress has it all. Reportedly, Isha wore a special Christian Dior gown for the event.
Her elegant straight gown speaks of soft lavender tones with floral embellishments. It was a dual colour piece with lavender in the front and cherry pink at the back. With minimal aesthetics, Isha styled it with, what appears to be, diamond studs.
Meanwhile, Mukesh Ambani wore a classic black three piece. Complementing him, Nita Ambani draped a stunning black saree with ivory borders.
What is Le Bal?
It is a grand and considered world’s most high-profile ball event that is held annually on the Thanksgiving weekend in Paris. The ball is supposed to be a modern day version of English debutante ball where young girls were “introduced” in the society. According to the description in the official website, “in 1994, Ophélie Renouard invented a modern version that she named “le Bal”.Its purpose is to raise money for Charities to help young women.Of course now, due to Facebook and other social media, Debs need not to make their social débuts.”
The Debs and their cavaliers only wear haute couture. One cannot buy a ticket and only 20 debutantes are invited from around 12 different nations. Le Bal is about the empowerment of young women and young men as well as the harmony of nations.
Earlier, Shanaya Kapoor, Ananya Panday, Princess Gauravi Kumari and Maharaja Sawai Padmanabh Singh of Jaipur, Shaiyra Devi of Kapurthala, Aria Mehta have also represented India in different years.
