Talking about his return to the ODI team, Ishan said that representing India again means more than any achievement. He has been banned by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on social media platform ‘X’ In the video shared, he said, ‘I am feeling very proud right now because I am wearing this jersey after a long time. I am even more happy that I am a part of this team, where there is a mix of experienced and young players. I am just hoping to help India win more matches.” Ishan played his last ODI match in the year 2023 before the ODI series being played against Afghanistan.

Ishan Kishan said that he wants to focus more on how he can contribute to the team’s victory than his record. He said, “I think for us as athletes it never ends. We just keep playing. That’s why I just want to help every player on my team. My wish is that every time I enter the field wearing this jersey, I can perform well.”

Batting first in the second ODI, India scored 402 runs. Apart from Ishaan’s strong inning of 125 runs, captain Shubman Gill also batted brilliantly and played a strong inning of 154 runs in 110 balls.
