Ishan Kishan’s inning of 74 runs overshadowed Suryavanshi’s inning of 103 runs, how RCB suffered loss in the match

New Delhi: In the 36th match of IPL 2026 played in Jaipur, Sunrisers Hyderabad defeated Rajasthan Royals by 5 wickets. Hyderabad, captained by Pat Cummins, won the toss and chose to bowl first.

Rajasthan scored 228 runs in 20 overs on the basis of Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s stormy century, but SRH achieved the target in 19 overs only. With this win, Hyderabad team has now reached second place in the points table and pushed RCB to third place.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s storm 

Rajasthan was started by Vaibhav Suryavanshi and Yashasvi Jaiswal. Vaibhav made his intentions clear by hitting 4 sixes in the very first over. Yashasvi was out in the third over, but Vaibhav did not stop. He completed fifty in just 15 balls. From the other end, Dhruv Jurel also scored a half-century and made a century partnership with Vaibhav.

Jurel was out in the 13th over, but Vaibhav stood firm. Vaibhav Suryavanshi scored a century in 36 balls. However, after completing his century, Saqib Hussain sent him to the pavilion on the very next ball. Vaibhav scored 103 runs in 37 balls with the help of 12 sixes and 5 fours. Captain Ryan Parag became the victim of Cummins after scoring 7 runs on 8 balls.

Donovan Ferreira scored 33 runs and was out on the bowling of Ishan Malinga. Shimron Hetmyer could also score only 11 runs and was dismissed by Praful Hinge. Rajasthan reached 228 runs in 20 overs.

Abhishek and Ishaan turned the tables of the match 

It is noteworthy that in reply to 229, SRH had a bad start. Travis Head once again failed and was out after scoring 6 runs. After this Abhishek Sharma and Ishan Kishan took charge. There was a century partnership between the two. Abhishek scored 57 runs in 29 balls and was out in the 10th over. Ishan Kishan changed gears and played a match-winning inning of 74 runs in 31 balls.

His innings set the entire momentum for Hyderabad. After Ishaan’s departure, Heinrich Klaasen and Nitish Reddy took over the innings. Nitish was out after scoring 36 runs, while Klaasen added 29 runs. In the end, Salil Arora and Aniket finished the match unbeaten. Hyderabad achieved the target by losing 5 wickets in 19 overs.
