Media agency IANS, quoting an Intelligence Bureau official, has said that radical elements are preparing and circulating videos made with Artificial Intelligence (AI). These videos have been prepared in many languages. For example, the videos for Kerala have been made in Malayalam, so that the content can target the youth of that state. Similarly, for the youth of Kashmir, the videos are in Kashmiri or Koshur and for UP, they are in Hindi.

Attempt to mislead Muslim youth

Apart from these languages, AI is also being used to create content in Urdu and other Indian languages. This is an indication that radical elements are planning to increase their reach by using the pretext of war. An official said that these elements are targeting not only Shia Muslims but also Sunnis. The officer further said that its aim is to radicalize the youth and then instigate them to carry out attacks in India.

Prayer meetings and rallies at main targets

After the death of Ali Khamenei, the Center had issued an advisory, which said that radical elements may try to instigate the youth by infiltrating prayer meetings and solidarity rallies. Condolence processions have been taken out by Shia communities in Hyderabad, Mumbai, Lucknow and Delhi. Officials say that more such processions can be taken out in the coming days. Radical elements can target these people.

Strict eye on content also

Apart from AI-generated videos, agencies are also keeping a close watch on influencers who run online religious and cultural channels. These people can include subtle provocations in their messages to instigate the youth. The agencies have learned that issues like Shia massacre and attacks on the Ummah (Muslim community) can be used to radicalize people.

ISIS can take advantage

Another official said that the Islamic State (ISIS) is against Shias but will still try to take advantage of this situation to further its agenda. Organizations like Al-Qaeda have also often used global issues to spread their ideology. These organizations will advance the anti-Islam agenda of both America and Israel. Intelligence agencies have learned that both Islamic State and Al-Qaeda will use this issue to radicalize the youth in India.
