Odisha FC announced on Wednesday that they have signed Brazilian footballer Dorielton Gomes Nascimento, known as Dori, until the end of this season, with an option to extend for an additional year.
“I want to start by expressing my gratitude to everyone at the club for their warm welcome. I’m excited to join this team and am committed to working hard every day to help Odisha excel and compete among the best. Thank you once again for the warm reception,” Dori stated following his signing.
Dori began his professional career with Fluminense FC, where he was part of the squad that finished as Copa Libertadores runners-up in 2008. He later transitioned to Asia, finding success with Bangladeshi clubs Dhaka Abahani and Bashundhara Kings.
During his time at Dhaka Abahani, Dori won the Federation Cup and Independence Cup titles in the 2021–22 season and helped the team secure a runner-up position in the Bangladesh Premier League. With Bashundhara Kings, he celebrated consecutive Bangladesh Premier League titles in 2022–23 and 2023–24, along with back-to-back Independence Cup wins. He also contributed to the team finishing third in the Federation Cup in the 2022–23 season.
