Singer Arijit Singh has been in the news ever since he decided to retire from playback singing. Many people supported him on his decision while many people expressed surprise at it. Meanwhile, now composer Ismail Darbar has broken his silence on this matter. Describing Arijit as intelligent, Ismail has called Arijit business minded.

Ismail expressed regret of not being able to work with Arijit

Let us tell you that composer Ismail Darbar, during a recent conversation with Subhojit Ghosh, while reacting to Arijit Singh’s retirement from playback singing, expressed regret over it and also praised Arijit.

The composer said- ‘I just felt bad that I did not get a chance to sing with him. I felt bad for myself because I wanted to work with him and I wanted to see him from a different perspective. He was also following the same style as his fellow music directors. He is good at what he does, I am good at what I do. We could have done something different in a collaboration.

Ismail Darbar further said- This step of Arijit is right for business. He also knows that we are living in the age of social media. If he had been singing for T-Series, it would have been like cooked food going into the label’s stomach instead of Arijit. If he had sung, the label would have benefited from it. He used his businessman’s mind. I must say that Arijit Singh is not an ‘innocent’ or ‘innocent’ person. He is intelligent. As good a singer as he is, his decision is equally wise. I am happy about this. If he doesn’t want to do it then he shouldn’t do it.

The composer further said- Arijit’s position today is self-made. Arijit is not big today because of them (labels). Whatever he is today is because of his hard work and God’s blessings. If he comes in front of me, I will ask him to do one last song with me. He further laughed and said, ‘But he is a little ‘mad’, he will not sing.
