Israel launched airstrikes on several Iranian cities, plumes of smoke visible in the sky

Tehran: A massive explosion rocked Iran’s capital, Tehran, sending plumes of smoke billowing into the sky. The Israeli military claimed the attack struck “the heart of Tehran,” marking the first time this central part of the capital has been targeted in recent US-Israeli attacks.

The Israeli military said in a statement that the strikes over the past few days were aimed at establishing air superiority and clearing the way to Tehran. According to them, the airstrikes primarily targeted government buildings and vital institutions. Local media and officials reported that the explosions sent huge plumes of smoke into the surrounding area, creating a sense of panic. Citizens shared images of the smoke and loud noise on social media.

Iran launched missiles targeting Israel and several Gulf Arab countries, vowing massive revenge following the assassination of its Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. The attacks targeted Bahrain, Qatar, Abu Dhabi, Dubai and other locations. Initial reports indicated the blast occurred in an area housing police headquarters and Iranian state television offices. The Israeli military said it was striking targets in central Tehran.
