Israel launches major strike on Iran, attacks 3 airports, destroys dozens of planes, helicopters and military bases

New Delhi. The Middle East war is at its peak. Meanwhile, on Monday, Israel carried out a major strike on Iran. The IDF claims that it attacked three Iranian airports, damaging dozens of aircraft, helicopters, and military infrastructure. Israel has identified the airports targeted as Bahram Airport, Mehrabad Airport, and Azmayesh Airport.

IRGC and Quds leaders killed
Earlier, news of the deaths of senior IRGC and Quds Force leaders in the Israeli attack had emerged. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) had said that Major General Majid Khademi, head of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps’ (IRGC) Intelligence Organization, and Asghar Bagheri, a senior commander of Unit 840 of the Quds Force, were killed in precise airstrikes.

Netanyahu praised the army
In a post on social media, Netanyahu praised the operation. He said, “Anyone who tries to kill our citizens and anyone who commits terrorism against Israel is almost certain to die. We are acting with full force and determination. We will reach anyone who seeks to harm us.”

Who was the head of intelligence operations?
The IDF said Khademi oversaw intelligence operations targeting Israel, while Bagheri led Unit 840’s global operations, including attacks and weapons movements. The killings are part of a larger Israeli campaign to target senior IRGC and Quds Force figures amid the ongoing conflict.
