Netanyahu Orders Direct Talks With Lebanon: Israeli Prime Minister benjamin netanyahu Has ordered to start direct negotiations with Lebanon. In a statement issued by the Israeli Prime Minister’s Office, it was said that after repeated demands from Lebanon for talks, the cabinet has been instructed to start direct talks as soon as possible.
What has happened till now?
- Netanyahu said the main agenda of the talks would be to disarm Hezbollah. His goal will be to establish peaceful relations between Israel and Lebanon. At the same time, the Lebanese Prime Minister’s appeal to ‘de-militarize’ Beirut was welcomed. This statement came when Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam increased international contacts regarding the ceasefire in the region.
- Israel resumed attacks on Lebanon on March 2, after Iran-backed Hezbollah fired rockets across the border. This action was reportedly taken in reaction to the assassination of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
- According to reports, so far more than 1500 people have died in Lebanon due to the Israeli attack, which includes more than 130 children. At the same time, more than 10 lakh people were displaced.
- America and Israel made it clear that America-Iran ceasefire Does not include Lebanon. However, Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had earlier said that conflict will be stopped in all areas, including Lebanon. This contradiction has made the situation more complex.

Iranian officials will also participate in this.
