Israeli army and Hezbollah clash in Bint Jubeil over military operations and damage claims

Clashes between the Israeli army (IDF) and Hezbollah intensified in southern Lebanon’s Bint Jubeil, with calls for a siege of the town and intensified military operations, and reports of local casualties and displacement.

The Israeli army said the southern Lebanese town of Bint Jubeil was completely surrounded and an offensive was underway inside the town. According to the army, the aim of this operation is to destroy the Hezbollah network present in the area.

Local and international media reports indicated extensive damage in parts of the city. There were reports of collapsed buildings and damage to infrastructure in various areas. The situation is tense.

The Israeli army claimed that more than 100 Hezbollah fighters were killed in the operation and a large amount of weapons and military equipment was recovered. According to the army, several positions were completely destroyed through close encounters and airstrikes.

Hezbollah, on the other hand, rejected the claims, saying that heavy fighting was still going on in the area. The organization claims that its fighters are harming Israeli forces and that the conflict is still active.

The Israel Defense Forces said its units were advancing steadily and would take steps to take control of the entire city in the coming days. According to the army, the operation is being conducted for security reasons and to prevent cross-border attacks.

Meanwhile, tensions in the area have escalated and are having a direct impact on the local population. According to various reports, large numbers of people have been displaced and the humanitarian situation is becoming increasingly dire.
