Former Indian cricketer Manoj Tiwari has recently spoken about being dropped from the team when he was at the peak of his career. Tiwari was inexplicably dropped from the national team after scoring a century for India in an ODI match against West Indies in 2011. He was included in the team only about eight months before being sent back to the playing eleven. In a recent conversation he said that he was disappointed with how things turned out and also made some indirect comments on then captain MS Dhoni, adding that he would talk about it in the future. Tiwari said that being dropped from the team at such an important stage of his career really shook his confidence.

Manoj Tiwari's confidence broke

He told Cricket Addictor- “See, this happened a long time ago. This is a thing of the past, but yes, it hurts. I'd be lying if I said it wasn't sad. What can we do? This is life; But there is a need to move beyond this. If I had to write my autobiography or make my own podcast, I would tell everything. But it was not easy. When a player is at his peak, when his confidence wavers, it brings about a change in mentality,” he said.

Manoj Tiwari's career

ODI- In 12 matches he has scored 287 runs with one century and half-century.
