It is good that Hema Malini did not go to Dharmendra’s prayer meeting, Manoj said it was the right decision.

Mumbai Dharmendra left this world last month, which has come as a big shock not only to his family and friends but also to the fans and the industry. After the death of Dharmendra, the actor had several prayer meetings, one of which was organized by his first wife and Sunny and Bobby. Hema had again organized a prayer meet at her Mumbai home. Now Manoj Desai, owner of Getty Galaxy Theatre, talked about both the prayer meets and said that Hema had taken the right decision to organize the second prayer meet at her house.

Manoj said, ‘I was not surprised that Hema ji had not come there. Even before there was any controversy or discussion on this issue, he had organized a separate prayer meet. It’s good she didn’t come. Dharmendra ji and Hema were very close to each other, but if anyone had said anything to them, the entire prayer meet would have been ruined, so they did the right thing by organizing a separate prayer meet.

Many people came to attend the prayer meet.

Manoj further said, ‘There was a long line of many vehicles during the prayer meet. My car was at number 86. Bhajans were sung in the prayer meet there. I met Sunny Deol and I said that many people are coming so I am leaving from the front gate. He told me thank you for coming. I then stood outside for 45 minutes, waiting for my car because there was so much crowd there.

It felt like the whole country had come there

Manoj again said, ‘I have been to the prayer meetings of many artists before, like during Rajesh Khanna, I was sitting next to Amitabh Bachchan. I had also gone to Yash Chopri’s prayer meet, but I have never seen a prayer meet like Dharmendra ji. It seemed as if the whole country had come there. There was no one who did not want to come there.

Let us tell you that Dharmendra was admitted to the hospital due to health problems. After this, he was brought home and he was undergoing treatment from there, but then on 24th November he left us all.
