It is no longer a mosque…LeT commander Hafiz Abdul Rauf accepted Pakistan as partner of terrorism, India is afraid after Operation Sindoor
New Delhi:Hafiz Abdul Rauf, commander of Pakistan-based terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), has publicly admitted that India’s Operation Sindoor dealt a blow to their main center in Muridke. He said that on the night of 6-7 May 2025, his headquarters Markaz-e-Taiba was completely destroyed.
Rauf said in the meeting that whatever happened on 6-7 May, the mosque is no longer a mosque. Today we can’t even sit there. She has collapsed. This is the most direct admission yet from within Lashkar-e-Taiba that India’s operation was successful in its objective.
When was Operation Sindoor launched?
Operation Sindoor was launched in April 2025, targeting terrorists of Lashkar-e-Taiba and its affiliate group The Resistance Front (TRF) after the Pahalgam attack. In this attack, 26 civilians were killed in Jammu and Kashmir. Investigation revealed that the attackers used Chinese-made weapons and equipment, pointing to a complex supply chain to Pakistan-based terrorist groups.
Rauf accepted China’s support
Rauf said that Pakistan has given free rein to terrorists for jihad and has made training and recruitment easier than anywhere else. He also admitted that China provided intelligence information and equipment to Pakistan during this period. According to Rauf, "Those whose planes were sold earlier have now become junk."
Reorganization activities of Lashkar after the attack
Although the Markaz-e-Taiba complex was destroyed, a passing-out ceremony for newly trained terrorists was held there in January 2026. Many senior commanders including Rauf, Hafiz Saeed’s son Hafiz Talha Saeed and the organization’s deputy chief Saifullah Kasuri were present in the ceremony. This makes it clear that despite Operation Sindoor, the terrorist structure is being re-established.
Global importance of Rauf’s statement
Recognizing the seriousness of the Indian attack, Rauf said that Allah saved us, Allah helped us. He claimed that Pakistan had every little information and the sound of firing was heard till America and Europe. This statement shows that this action taken on the India-Pakistan border was not only a regional incident but also internationally important.
