The meeting was attended by Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) and Vice Presidents of more than 40 leading companies in the IT, ITES and Electronics System Design and Manufacturing (ESDM) sectors. Singh stressed the government's commitment in establishing Bihar as a major hub in the national IT landscape. The Bihar government had in January launched the Bihar IT Policy, 2024, which is designed to strengthen the state's IT ecosystem and attract investments in the information technology (IT), ESDM and data center sectors. Under this initiative, the Government is organizing a series of meetings with investors and key industry stakeholders at places like Mumbai, Chandigarh, Kolkata, Delhi, Bengaluru etc. to discuss the incentives available under the IT policy and attract potential investments. .
Under Bihar IT Policy, investment of more than Rs 1,000 crore is expected to come to the state this year. This meeting is being considered as an important step towards strengthening cooperation between the government and the private sector to accelerate technological advancement and economic development in Bihar.
