It will not be easy to dislike YouTube shorts, the company is going to make this big change

Desk. YouTube Shorts have become very popular and like Instagram Reels, they can also be watched by continuously scrolling. The company is slowly working on a change for YouTube Shorts and it is related to its Dislike Button. Actually, YouTube is working on removing the dislike button of Shorts or changing its positioning. If you don’t see the dislike button on YouTube Shorts, you are not alone because YouTube is currently in the testing phase to change the position of this dislike button.

According to the reports, in the future i.e. in the next few days, it may be a bit difficult to dislike the shorts and this thumb down button which is currently visible below the like button in the corner of the shorts, will be removed from this place. There is also news that YouTube plans to merge the Dislike and Not Interested buttons together because the company has found that users are not able to differentiate between the Not Interested and Dislike buttons. Later on, both actions can be performed with the help of this one button. Even if you are not interested in any shorts, you can give your reaction by pressing the dislike button and even if you do not like the video, you can give it a dislike reaction by pressing the same button.

YouTube is now changing the function and position of the dislike button, so it is believed that on some users’ devices this button may be seen with the Dislike label, while on others it may come with the Not Interested label. According to the testing results, the thumbs down button can be lowered inside the overflow menu and this menu can be found by tapping on the three dots in the top-right corner of the shorts. As you can understand, you will have to take extra steps for the Dislike button, whereas the Like button will remain on the main playback screen as before. This clearly shows that it will be very easy to like the content but to dislike it the user will have to make extra efforts.
