The Indian Television Academy (ITA) Awards on Star Plus is one of the biggest and most prestigious award ceremonies in the world of television. Every year the ceremony is celebrated with great fanfare in the presence of veteran actors, celebrating the best talent, acting and stories in television. Audiences across the country love this event. This year the ceremony is special as it is the 25th year of the ITA Awards, i.e. Silver Jubilee. Hence, this year’s award ceremony has been grand, energetic and memorable.

Among the many eye-catching awards at the 25th ITA Awards, the award was a very personal and emotional moment for actor Kanwar Dhillon, who played the role of Sachin in Star Plus’ serial ‘Udne Ki Asha’. Recounting the experience of this historic award ceremony, Kanwar says “Being a part of ITA’s 25th year has truly been an enriching experience for me. This year I was an important part of the silver jubilee celebrations of both the Star Parivar Sohala and the Indian Television Academy (ITA) Awards. The Star Parivar Awards which I moderated and now the ITA Awards, this year has been an unforgettable one for me.”

After this special win, Kanwar continues “Winning the Best Actor Jury Award for ‘Udne Ki Asha’ was a very special moment for me. It was my first ITA award and that too in the 25th year ceremony, so this award is doubly my joy and therefore significant. I will always cherish that beautiful moment of standing on that grand stage and holding the trophy. The entire ceremony was more emotional as my family was also present in the audience at that award ceremony. Sitting in the audience clapping for me and what could be a greater honor? Last year I had expectations but this time I came with no expectations and that makes this win even more precious.”

Kanwar also gave a powerful live performance at the ITA Awards which added more color to the awards ceremony. Commenting on the performance, Kanwar says, “Though this was my second performance at ITA and first live performance on the stage of ITA, I felt a different energy of performing live in front of a huge audience and I thoroughly enjoyed every moment. I performed on my favorite songs which is my favorite zone and sharing the stage with System, Shaleen and Ashi was even more fun.”

On the most special ITA memory, Kanwar says “Winning the Best Actor Award this year and holding the trophy on stage is one of the most cherished ITA moments for me. I thank Anu Ranjan ma’am, Shashi sir and the entire ITA team for carrying forward this bright tradition. Completing a journey of 25 years is a huge achievement.”
