J-Hope discharged from army, Jin welcomes him

Seoul Seoul. BTS megastar J-Hope completed his 18-month military service in South Korea on Thursday, October 17. BTS is a Korean pop band consisting of V, Jungkook, Jimin, J-Hope, Suga, RM, and Jin. Starting in 2022, all seven members of the world's most popular boy band are on 'hiatus' due to fulfill mandatory military duties, which all males under the age of 30 are required to do in South Korea due to ongoing tensions with North Korea. Needed J-Hope was the second member of the group to begin his military training and has now been officially discharged.

BTS member Jhope, fondly called Hobi or Sunshine by the army, is the second member after Jin to be discharged from his mandatory military service. Jin, the oldest member of K-pop group BTS, completed his 18 months of service in South Korea and was discharged on June 12, 2024. When J-Hope returned today, Jin welcomed him with a heartfelt hug and a bouquet of flowers, and the moment quickly spread on social media. Fans are eagerly awaiting the reunion of V, Jungkook, Jimin, J-Hope, Suga, RM, and Jin, and are yearning to see this iconic group together once again.

On Weverse, J-Hope started a 30-day countdown to his vacation, saying, “One month, exactly 30 days left! Time has flown by, but I'm already missing it. I've grown quite fond of everything here. I'm packing up my stuff, giving away some of my favorite things, and my locker is starting to look a little emptier.”
