Jabalpur Bargi Dam Cruise Accident: Big action by CM Mohan Yadav, services of 3 employees terminated, one suspended
The Bargi Dam cruise accident in Jabalpur has shocked the entire state. After this accident on Thursday, 28 people have been rescued so far. While 9 bodies have been recovered, 4 people are still missing. Continuous rescue and search operations are going on. After ordering an investigation into this accident, now Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has come into action. They have taken major action against some employees.
Action against culprits for negligence in Bargi Dam accident
Giving information, CM Dr. Yadav himself said that strict action has been taken against the culprits for negligence in the tragic accident that took place in Jabalpur Bargi Dam. The services of cruise pilot Mahesh Patel, helper Chhotalal Gond and ticket counter incharge (FOA) Brijendra have been terminated with immediate effect.
Apart from this, Sunil Maravi, Manager of Hotel Maikal Resort and Boat Club Bargi, has been suspended for dereliction of duty, while Regional Manager Sanjay Malhotra has been attached to the Headquarters and a departmental inquiry has been initiated against him. CM said that the culprits will not be spared under any circumstances. Expressing condolences to the victims, the government is committed to providing all possible help.
High-level investigation committee formed to investigate the accident
The Chief Minister said that a high-level inquiry committee has been formed to investigate the accident that took place in Bargi Reservoir in Jabalpur. Whoever is found guilty in the investigation will not be spared and strictest action will be taken against him. To prevent such incidents, SOPs related to cruise operations will be prepared. With this, Dr. Yadav has announced that all the brave members of the rescue team will be publicly honoured. NDRF, SDERF and Army divers have saved many precious lives.
Apart from this, CM Dr. Yadav reached Jabalpur on Friday and met the families of the victims. He said that relatives have lost their loved ones in this accident, and that loss cannot be compensated. The state government stands with them in this unbearable grief. My condolences are with the grieving families. During this difficult time, affected families should not feel alone.
