I will marry for the second time…and the husband took the wife's life, dumped the body with her father-in-law

A heart-wrenching case has come to light from Jabalpur in Madhya Pradesh. Here a young man killed his wife for remarrying. After this, the accused dressed the body in jeans and dumped it in the river. The woman's father-in-law also supported her in this bloody game. However, as soon as the information was received, the police reached the spot and arrested the accused husband and his father.

That's why I wanted to marry again

The whole matter is of Patharia village in Belkheda police station area, about 40 km from Jabalpur district headquarters. Police told the media that the accused had married Rajni Lodhi 10 years ago. They did not get the happiness of any child in these 10 years. In such a situation, the accused and his family members were blaming Rajni for this.

Due to this, there were fights in the house every day and Rajni was taunted by calling her barren. In this sequence, the accused expressed his desire to marry for the second time in order to have a child. When Rajni protested against this, the accused decided to remove her from the way.

Had to face heavy opposition to second marriage

In this regard, Rajni's father lodged a complaint with the police and told that whenever the accused beat Rajni, she used to call and inform him. However, Rajni was always advised by her maternal side to improve the environment of her home. He told that recently Rajni had also informed about the plans of her husband's second marriage. He had said that he was going to get married on the day of Dev Uthani Ekadashi. When Rajni protested against this, the accused strangled her to death.

That's why the dead body was dressed in jeans.

According to the police, the accused took off her saree and jewelery to hide the evidence and prevent the body from being identified. After this, he wore jeans, wrapped himself in a towel and with the help of his father Munna Singh Lodhi, threw him into the Hiran River. The next day after the incident, the accused himself came to the police station and lodged a missing complaint of his wife. Later the police recovered Rajni's body from the river. According to Additional SP Suryakant Sharma, the accused has confessed to the crime during police interrogation.
