It has become easy to go from Jabalpur to Ayodhya-Delhi, special trains will run on Holi, know the route and schedule.
Holi Special Trains: For the convenience of passengers, West Central Railway has announced to run Holi special trains with two trips each between Jabalpur, Ayodhya and Delhi. Jabalpur has been made the main hub of these trains because it is easy to connect passengers from different directions from here.

Holi Special Trains: Holi festival is near and on this festival of wind, people are going to their homes and villages to immerse themselves in the colors. In view of the increasing crowd at railway stations during Holi, the Railway Department is continuously running special trains. Recently, the Railway Administration has taken a big step and decided to run two special trains for Ayodhya and Delhi. With the running of these special trains, passengers will be able to reach their homes safely.
From where to where will the special trains run?
For the convenience of passengers, West Central Railway has announced to run Holi special trains with two trips each between Jabalpur, Ayodhya and Delhi. Jabalpur has been made the main hub of these trains because it is easy to connect passengers from different directions from here. This service of Railways will be available once a week between March 2 and March 11, the official schedule of which has been released.
In view of the huge crowd of working people returning home from Delhi and surrounding cities during Holi and devotees traveling to Mathura-Kashi, reservation of seats in these trains has been started. Passengers can book their tickets from the official website of IRCTC or the booking counter of Indian Railways.
Know the route and schedule of Holi special trains
- Train number 01705 running between Jabalpur and Ayodhya Dham will depart on 3rd and 10th March at 7:40 pm and reach Ayodhya at 11:25 am the next day. In return, train number 01706 will leave at 1:30 pm on 4th and 11th March and return to Jabalpur at 6:45 am the next day. This train will stop at main stations like Sihora, Katni, Maihar, Satna and Varanasi, which will provide convenience to the people going home on Holi as well as the passengers visiting Maa Sharda in Maihar.
- Holi special train (01701) running between Jabalpur to Delhi (Hazrat Nizamuddin) will depart at 8:20 pm on March 2 and 9 and will reach Delhi at noon the next day. In return, train number 01702 will depart from Hazrat Nizamuddin at 3:45 pm on March 3 and 10 and return to Jabalpur at 9:30 am the next day. This train will pass through major stations like Katni, Mudwara, Damoh, Sagar, Jhansi, Gwalior, Agra and Mathura, which will provide great ease to the passengers of these cities.

- Apart from this, many Holi special trains will also be run for Rewa, Bhopal and Danapur. Superfast special (02192-02191) will operate between Rewa-Rani Kamalapati on 28th February and other trains (02186-02185) will operate on 2nd and 3rd March. Bhopal-Rewa special (01704-01703) train will run from both sides on March 5. For the passengers going to Bihar, Sogaria-Danapur (09821-09822) and Rani Kamlapati-Danapur (01667-01668) trains will run on different dates between February 27 and March 9, due to which passengers will get a convenient travel option during the festival.
