Jack Hughes breaks teeth and secures Olympic gold

American Olympian Jack Hughes has secured an Olympic gold for US but it costed him his two teeth.

The ice hockey player secured the gold in the team sport against US rival Canada at the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan.

On February 22, the two North American nations faced each other in the Gold medal match and Jack’s overtime goal won it for US.

However, the NHL star lost his two teeth in the match but he has no regrets.

After winning the match, he told NBC “This is all about our country right now. I love the U.S.A. I love my teammates, it’s unbelievable.”

He added “The USA Hockey brotherhood, it’s so strong. We had so much support from ex-players, and I’m so proud to be American today.”

Speaking of his broken teeth, he said “I’m lucky I’m from the best country in the world, and we’ve got great dentists there too.”

The team also received a personal call from US President Donald Trump after the victory.
