ED investigation had revealed that Sukesh had given expensive gifts worth crores to Jacqueline Fernandes with the fraudulent money. On this basis, the agency had also made him an accused in this money laundering case. Now if ED accepts her application and gets approval from the court, then Jacqueline can become a government witness against the accused, which is likely to get her legal relief. According to investigation, Sukesh had spent more than Rs 7 crore on Jacqueline. She was gifted a luxury bag, diamond jewellery, a horse worth Rs 57 lakh and four Persian cats. Not only this, his parents living in Bahrain were given Porsche and Maserati cars worth about Rs 1.89 crore, while his brother was also gifted an SUV and his sister a BMW car worth about Rs 1.25 crore. Now everyone’s eyes are on the ED’s decision in this case, because it can change both the direction of the case and Jacqueline’s legal status.
