Jacqueline’s U-turn in swindler Sukesh Chandrashekhar case!: Will take a big step with the government; Know the news

Sukesh Chandrashekhar case: big swindler Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandes, trapped in Sukesh Chandrashekhar’s money laundering case, has now decided to take a big step. According to reports, Jacqueline has expressed her desire to become an ‘government witness’ (approver) in this case going on in a Delhi court. At present Sukesh is in jail in many cases.

Jacqueline will become a government witness
According to reports, this request was made by Jacqueline during her appearance in the court, on which the court directed her to follow the legal process. The court clarified that such a request should not be made directly to the court, but first to the investigating agency, i.e. the Enforcement Directorate (ED).

As per the legal process, Jacqueline will now have to submit her application before the ED. After this the agency will record their statement and decide whether to file a formal application in the court to make them an ‘approver’ or not.

This development has come to light at a time when, just a few months ago, the Supreme Court had rejected Jacqueline’s petition in which she had sought quashing of the ongoing criminal proceedings in this case.

Sukesh is in jail on fraud charges
It is noteworthy that Sukesh Chandrashekhar is accused of running an alleged extortion racket worth Rs 215 crore. According to investigating agencies, he targeted many high-profile people through fake identities and fraud.

Jacqueline accused of getting expensive gifts from this money
ED claims that Jacqueline Fernandes had received expensive gifts worth more than Rs 7 crore from Sukesh, which included jewellery, designer clothes and luxury cars. The agency also alleges that after Sukesh’s arrest, the actress deleted some data from her phone and initially did not provide complete details of her financial transactions, though she later shared the details when evidence emerged.

At the same time, Jacqueline has consistently denied these allegations. They say that they were not aware of Sukesh’s alleged criminal activities and that he presented himself as a legitimate businessman.

This matter is currently under investigation and may take a new turn in the future after the ED’s decision.
