Delhi: The Indian cricket team has been announced for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 to be hosted by Pakistan, starting from February 19. Rohit Sharma has been given the captaincy of the team, while Shubman Gill has been made the vice-captain. Fast bowlers Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Shami have returned to the ODI team after a long time. However, Mohammad Siraj was not given a place in the team, and Arshdeep Singh has been included in his place. The responsibility of spin department has been given to Kuldeep Yadav, Washington Sundar and Ravindra Jadeja.
The performance of Indian bowlers in the Champions Trophy has always been impressive, but till date no one has been able to break a special record in the name of Ravindra Jadeja. He made this record in the 2013 Champions Trophy, when India won the title. That year, Jadeja took 5 wickets for 36 runs in the match against West Indies, which is the best performance of any Indian bowler so far.
