Jagadguru Rambhadracharya’s controversial statement on Shahrukh Khan

New Delhi: Jagadguru Rambhadracharya has given a controversial statement about Bollywood actor Shahrukh Khan, in which he said that Shahrukh is not a real hero and has no morals. He also commented that Shahrukh’s viewpoint has always been against the country. Along with this, Jagadguru termed the Mahakal temple being built by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee in West Bengal as an election strategy and said that God should grant her wisdom.
‘This is unfortunate’
He gave this statement when he was giving his views on the playing condition of Bangladeshi bowler Mustafizur Rahman in the IPL amid the violence in Bangladesh. When asked in a press conference why Shahrukh Khan wanted to include Bangladeshi players in the IPL, he said that it was unfortunate. Shahrukh is not like any hero and his attitude has always been negative towards the country.
Targeted at Shahrukh Khan
Jagadguru Rambhadracharya is not the first person to attack Shahrukh Khan. Earlier, spiritual guru Devkinandan Thakur and Pandit Dhirendra Krishna Shastri had also given statements against him. All of them have an objection that despite the Bangladeshi violence, Shahrukh Khan’s team Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) has bought Mustafizur Rahman.
Mustafizur Rahman case
Shahrukh Khan’s team KKR has included Bangladeshi bowler Mustafizur Rahman in the team for the IPL to be held in the year 2026. He is the only Bangladeshi player to be sold in this auction. However, due to the news of violence against Hindus in Bangladesh, KKR is facing severe criticism on social media.
BCCI clarified its stand
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has taken a clear stand on this matter and is currently following a ‘wait and watch’ policy. BCCI says that it will not ban any player without instructions from the government. A senior official said that the situation is very sensitive.
‘Bangladesh is not an enemy country’
We are in constant touch with the government. Currently there is no reason to ban Bangladeshi players. Mustafizur will play IPL. Bangladesh is not an enemy country. BCCI is currently in talks with the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) on the visa issue of Bangladeshi players for the T20 World Cup 2026. There is no possibility of any major problem related to visa.
