Woman MP came to me crying…Dhankhar's statement on Dhakka incident, said – he is paying attention to the matter
New Delhi: Two BJP MPs have been injured in the scuffle in Parliament. This incident does not seem to stop here. In the latest development, BJP MP from Nagaland S. Phangnon Konyak has complained to Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar that Rahul Gandhi misbehaved with him. Dhankhar's statement has also come out on this issue.
Nagaland BJP MP S Phanong Konyak accused the opposition leader and said that Rahul Gandhi came to me and pushed me. Konyak further alleged that Rahul made her uncomfortable by coming close to her and requesting “protection”.
What did Fagnon Konyak write in the letter?
In a letter to Dhankhar, he wrote, “I, S. Fagnon Konyak, MP (Rajya Sabha) was participating in a peaceful protest against the atrocities committed by the Congress Party against Honorable Dr. Baba Saheb Ambedkar. I was standing just below the stairs of Makar Dwar with a placard in my hand. The security personnel had made a passage at the entrance for the entry of honorable MPs from other parties.
I felt extremely uncomfortable: Konyak
Konyak said that suddenly, opposition leader Rahul Gandhi came in front of me along with other party members, while a path was made for them. He abused me in a loud voice and his physical proximity was so close that being a female member I felt extremely uncomfortable. “I stepped aside with a heavy heart and condemned my democratic rights, but I felt no MP should behave like this.”

In a letter to the Chairman, Konyak said, “I belong to the ST community of Nagaland and I am a woman member. Opposition leader Rahul Gandhi has deeply hurt my honor and self-respect. Therefore, Honorable Speaker, I seek your safety.”

On this matter, the Vice President said, “The female MP came to me crying. I am aware. He has given me a written complaint. The MP has met me. I am discussing this. She was in shock. I am paying attention to this matter.” On the other hand, there are clear signs of increasing uproar on this issue.
