Jaisalmer: Pakistan’s ‘Ishrat’ entered Indian border, BSF soldiers surrounded and caught it; Sensation due to recovery of knife.
Jaisalmer. Jaisalmer: On the very first day of the New Year, the Border Security Force (BSF) has shown great alertness and arrested a Pakistani citizen on the international border in Jaisalmer district of Rajasthan. This infiltrator was trying to illegally enter the Indian border near Nachna and Nok sectors.
According to officials, the man was caught in the area adjacent to Nachna and Nok sectors. In the initial investigation this person appears to be mentally unstable. However, his exact mental condition and background will be confirmed by detailed medical examination and Joint Interrogation Center (JIC).
During initial interrogation, the person revealed his name as Ishrat (35 years old), father Rana Mohammad Aslam, resident of Sargodha district of Punjab province of Pakistan.
Pakistani currency, a knife and some other items were also found with him. BSF has handed over the intruder to Nok police station for further investigation. Police and security agencies are investigating the matter to find out how the person crossed the border and whether the incident could pose any security concern.
