Jaishankar Prasad Smriti Sahitya Samman to Dr. Diwakar Rai in National Speech-2026
Daughter. Lal of Champaran and litterateur Dr. Diwakar Rai, who has made his national mark in the field of drama, has been honored with the Jaishankar Prasad Smriti Sahitya Samman in the National Literary Conference ‘Rashtravaak- 2026’ organized at Deshbandhu College, Delhi. All India coordinator of Pragya Pravah, Dr. J. Nandakumar and Director of Dandiya Habitat Center Prof. K. Yes. Suresh jointly honored Dr. Rai by presenting him a robe, memento and certificate of honor. He was given this honor for writing high quality plays on various topics of the freedom movement.
In this program, five outstanding people working in the field of literature and art from across the country have been honored with various honours. It is known that Rashtravaak-2026 is a program of national literary discussion. It was organized by Sanatan Life Style Foundation at Deshbandhu College, Delhi, in which there were separate sessions of literary discussion in the national perspective, five honors for national level literary achievements and the grand National Poet’s Conference. On this occasion, the new issue of Rashtravaak magazine was also inaugurated by the guests. A grand National Poet’s Conference was also organized in the last session, in which prominent young poets from all over the country participated. This achievement of Dr. Diwakar Rai is a matter of great pride for Champaran. Dr. Rai has made a national identity for himself in the field of play writing. Till now eight of his books have been published, of which seven are plays. Various themes of India’s identity, self-respect and freedom movement have been presented very effectively in his plays. Recently, one of his famous play ‘Neel Nayak’ based on the life struggles of Pandit Rajkumar Shukla, the local hero of Champaran Satyagraha, was launched in Bettiah. Dr. Rai has also received the second prize for his one-act play in the International Hindi One Act Writing Competition organized by Vishwa Hindi Sachivalaya, Mauritius. Apart from this, he has received about one and a half dozen awards from various institutions.
There is an atmosphere of joy in the literary community of Champaran on receiving Jaishankar Prasad Smriti Sahitya Samman. Dr. Rai is continuously receiving congratulations. Saurabh, Chandrika Ram, Jaikishore ‘Jai’, Lalan Pandey Lahiri, Shweta Kumari Choubey, Sushma Sharma, Ashish Kumar Sharma, Anurag Mishra etc. are prominent.
