Jammu Kashmir Bandipora Cloudburst: There was chaos due to cloud burst incident on Monday evening in Tulail valley of Gurez tehsil of Bandipora district in North Kashmir of Jammu and Kashmir. After this sudden natural disaster, a flood like situation was created in the area, due to which many houses and agricultural lands were damaged.

According to officials, after the cloud burst in the evening, a huge amount of water and debris entered the populated area at high speed. Within no time, many houses were flooded and crops standing in the fields were submerged. Due to the rapid rise in water level, panic spread among the local people and many families fled to safer places.

Water reached residential houses

After the incident, the administration has started taking stock of the situation. The damage in the affected areas is being assessed and relief operations are also being monitored. Tulail Tehsildar Javed Ahmed, while talking to a private channel, confirmed the incident and said that many residential houses and agricultural crops located in the village have been damaged due to the cloud burst.

People in panic due to cloud burst

The administration is continuously monitoring the situation and efforts are being made to provide necessary assistance to the affected people. The local administration has appealed to the people to remain alert and follow the guidelines issued by the Meteorological Department. At present the situation in the area is being monitored. At the same time, after the cloud burst, a flood like situation has arisen. People are in panic due to waterlogging in residential areas.

Monsoon department issued alert

The Meteorological Department has issued a warning of heavy rain and thunderstorm in many districts of Jammu and Kashmir between June 17 and 19. According to the department, bad weather with heavy rains may be seen in Jammu, Kathua, Anantnag, Pulwama, Kishtwar, Doda, Ramban, Baramulla, Poonch and Udhampur districts.

The Meteorological Department has advised people living in sensitive areas to remain alert and avoid unnecessary travel. Due to continuous rain, there is a possibility of landslides in hilly areas and waterlogging in low-lying areas.
