Suspicious scope found in child’s hands, major investigation opened
Jammu A six-year-old child was seen playing with this scope in Asrarabad area of the region. On the information of local people, police reached the spot and the child’s parents were interrogated. The family told that the child had found this scope from a nearby garbage heap in the morning.
Search operation in Sidhra area
After the recovery of this weapon equipment of Chinese origin, the police started an intensive search operation in Sidhra area of Jammu. Senior police officers also reached the spot and reviewed the entire incident. It is feared that this scope could be a part of some bigger conspiracy. However, the police have not yet confirmed any findings.
A young man detained from Samba
Connecting the links related to this case, the police have detained a 24-year-old youth from Samba district. He is being interrogated whether he has any connection with the presence of this scope. Police spokesperson said, “Jammu (Rural) Police has recovered a telescope, which can be fitted on a weapon, from Sidhra area. Investigation into the matter is underway.”
SOG and police are conducting joint investigation
This entire matter is being investigated by Jammu and Kashmir Police as well as Special Operations Group (SOG) teams. Security agencies are trying to find out how this scope reached here and who could be behind it.
Investigation related to ‘Pakistani number’ in a separate case
Meanwhile, in another incident, a person named Tanveer Ahmed has been detained from Samba district. According to the police, a ‘Pakistani’ number was found in his mobile phone. It is being told that Tanveer Ahmed is originally from Anantnag in South Kashmir and was currently living in Samba.
