Police equipment purchased under modernization process

To reduce the risk of police personnel and officers to zero and to increase operational capacity and efficiency, the police has purchased state-of-the-art bullet proof vehicles, modern weapons and surveillance equipment as well as bullet proof jackets and belts. The entire equipment has been purchased as part of the modernization process of the police.

Purchased 7,416 B5 level and 784 B6 level bulletproof jackets.

The concerned police officials said that keeping in mind the challenges of Jammu and Kashmir, the Home Ministry has started a campaign to modernize the police. Police have purchased more than eight thousand bullet proof jackets. The police have purchased 7,416 B5 level jackets, which are capable of withstanding bullets from other weapons like AK-47. At the same time, the police has purchased 784 jackets with B6 level ballistic protection, which are capable of withstanding deadly weapons like steel bullets. These jackets are being given to police officers and police personnel involved in anti-terrorist operations and extremely risky operations.

Bought 72 bullet proof vehicles

Apart from this, to enhance the security of police personnel and officers involved in dangerous missions like terrorist operations and smuggling, Jammu and Kashmir Police has purchased 47 bullet proof vehicles of B-3 ballistic capability, 15 of B2 ballistic capability and 10 of B1 ballistic capability.

Also purchased Mini Drone, Deep Search Mine Detector and Ultra Wide CCTV Surveillance System

Along with this, Jammu and Kashmir Police has also purchased 12 deep search mine detectors, 45 mini drones and 100 ultra wide CCTV surveillance systems. The Jammu and Kashmir Police, which will enter the field against the terrorists with all these equipment, will attack the terrorists like a thunderbolt.
