Supreme Court may hear this matter on January 19
Jana Nayagan, (News), Mumbai: South superstar Thalapathy Vijay has been in the news for a long time for his last film of his acting career, Jan Nayagan. However, the matter of release of his film is stuck. Now the makers of this film have approached the Supreme Court against the decision of the Divisional Bench of Madras High Court. It is reported that the Supreme Court may hear this matter on January 19.

The film was to be released on January 9

Thalapathy Vijay’s Jana Nayagan was scheduled to release in theaters on January 9 itself. However, approval was not received from the Censor Board. The board did not give censor certificate to the film. Because of this the release of the film got stuck. After that the makers filed a petition against CBFC in Madras High Court.

What is the whole matter?

On January 9, a hearing was held in the Madras High Court and the single bench of the court had ordered the Censor Board to immediately give the censor certificate to Jan Nayagan. However, on the same day, the Divisional Bench of the Madras High Court had stayed the single bench’s decision. Now the makers have filed a petition in the Supreme Court demanding to cancel the same decision of the Divisional Bench of Madras High Court, so that the film can pass the Censor Board and be released.

This petition of the makers can be heard in the Supreme Court on January 19. Now it remains to be seen what happens in this hearing. Whether the path for Jan Nayagan’s release gets cleared or not. This is the last film of Thalapathy Vijay’s acting career.
