According to the South China Morning PostNemu Kusano married her husband after being introduced by a friend, believing he was “serious and shy” and unlikely to betray her trust. She became a full-time housewife after marriage.

The couple’s son was later born with an extremely rare disease affecting fewer than 30 people worldwide. With her husband frequently absent due to long working hours, Kusano assumed full responsibility for caring for their child.

Her life took a dramatic turn when she discovered condoms and aphrodisiacs in her husband’s bag, as well as suspicious notifications from a dating app on his phone. When confronted, the man admitted to repeated affairs but showed little remorse.

“I just deal with the stress outside. I do not bring it home,” he told her, she said, according to Hindustan Times.

Shocked and angered, Kusano began piecing together records and phone messages, eventually uncovering evidence of 520 affairs involving her husband and escort girls as well as adult film actresses.

Although she initially considered seeking revenge, Kusano said she ultimately decided against it, fearing the impact such actions could have on their son. She later took her husband to a doctor, where he was diagnosed with sex addiction, a condition that reportedly began during his school years.

The couple now live separately, with Kusano raising their son on her own. She has since turned her experience into a comic created in collaboration with Japanese manga artist Piroyo Arai, describing the creative process as a form of emotional healing. She has also published a book recounting her experience.

Her story has resonated widely on mainland Chinese social media, where many users praised her decision to speak openly.

“In traditional Chinese families, some women stay silent about their husband’s infidelity. But Kusano chose to share her pain and encourage others,” one commenter wrote. “This deeply moved me.”

“As a wife, we should not carry the weight of our husband’s mistakes,” another said. “I deserve to fight for a better life for myself and my child. Taking care of myself is just as important.”
