Japanese actress Anri Sakaguchi arrested for allegedly stealing $2 sandwich
Actress Anri Sakaguchi was arrested on suspicion of stealing a sandwich worth 300 yen (US$1.88) from a convenience store in Tokyo.

According to Asia Business Dailylocal outlet Kyodo News reported that Sakaguchi was taken into custody on March 17. Police said a store employee noticed her behaving suspiciously and alerted authorities. Officers detained Sakaguchi at the scene, and she later admitted to the allegation during questioning.
Sakaguchi, 35, is the daughter of late actress Ryoko Sakaguchi, who died in 2013, according to Chosun Biz. She landed her first leading role in the 2014 film “Honey Flappers.”
In recent years, however, Sakaguchi has frequently been at the center of controversy. Since 2017, she has worked in the adult film industry and has gone through two divorces.
According to Znewsshe has also been involved in other incidents, including an arrest for trespassing at her ex-boyfriend’s home. After her second marriage ended in late 2025, Sakaguchi said she was facing financial difficulties.
