Jasprit Bumrah’s big blast, created history by taking a wicket on the first ball of the innings against England

Delhi: Indian team’s star fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah performed brilliantly with both ball and bat in the second ODI against England. In this match held at Sophia Gardens in Cardiff, Bumrah created history by dismissing Ben Duckett on the very first ball of England’s innings. He has become the first Indian bowler to take a wicket on the first ball of the innings against England.

Bumrah sent Duckett to the pavilion on the very first ball.

Bumrah gave a big blow to the England team chasing the target of 234 runs in the very first over. He got Ben Duckett caught by wicketkeeper Ishan Kishan on his very first ball. Duckett became the victim of a golden duck without opening an account.

Played important role with bat also

Before doing wonders with the ball, Bumrah also scored useful runs for Team India with the bat. Batting at number 10, he scored 20 unbeaten runs in 13 balls. In this short but important innings he hit 3 fours and 1 six.

Bumrah along with Shreyas Iyer added 23 runs for the ninth wicket. Especially in the 43rd over, he played an important role in taking India’s score beyond 230 by hitting three fours and a six against Saqib Mahmood.

Indian team was limited to 233 runs

After losing the toss and opting to bat first, the Indian team was all out for 233 runs in 44 overs. For India, Virat Kohli scored 65 runs and Shreyas Iyer scored 66 runs. However, after Kohli’s dismissal, the Indian batting disintegrated and the team lost its last 7 wickets in just 55 runs.
