Jasprit Bumrah’s reign is in danger, he may lose his number 1 position

Delhi: England players have registered a tremendous lead in the new ICC Test rankings. After the recent Ashes Test, changes have been seen in both batting and bowling. Indian players could not make it to the top five batsmen, while Jasprit Bumrah continues to dominate in bowling.

Bumrah’s reign continues

Jasprit Bumrah is at first place in the bowling rankings with 879 points. Mitchell Starc has reached second place. There is still one match left in the Ashes series, due to which Starc has a chance to leave Bumrah behind and become number 1.

Fast bowler Josh Tong has jumped 13 places due to his excellent performance and has reached a career-best 30th position. Noman Ali has also gained two places. Along with him, Gus Atkinson and Braydon Kars have also improved in the ranking.

Harry Brook’s big jump in batting rankings

After his important contribution in the Melbourne Test, Harry Brook has jumped three places in the ICC Test batting rankings. He has reached second place with 846 rating points. He left behind Steve Smith, Travis Head and Kane Williamson. England’s Joe Root remains in first place with 867 points.
