New Delhi: The National Testing Agency (NTA) will close the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2025 online registration process today, November 22. Candidates can apply for the JEE Mains 2025 session 1 exam by visiting the official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in. The JEE Main 2025 application correction process will commence on November 26, 2024.
The JEE Main 2025 session 1 exam is scheduled to be held between January 22 and January 31, 2025. The session 2 exam will be held from April 1 to April 8, 2025.
Candidates who have completed their Class 12 or equivalent exam with 75 per marks in physics, mathematics and chemistry, biology or technical vocational subjects. For the Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) category candidates, the pass percentage required in Class 12 is 65 per cent. Those appearing in the Class 12 board exam 2025 are also eligible to apply and appear in the entrance exam.
What after filling JEE Main application form 2025?
After submitting the JEE Main application form, candidates need to download a copy of the application form as it will be required for further processing. Candidates whose application form is submitted correctly with the right information will be able to download the admit card. Before the release of the admit card, NTA will activate the JEE Mains 2025 mock test link on the official website.
JEE Main 2025 exam pattern changed
As per the JEE Main new exam pattern, NTA has dropped optional questions from section B of both paper 1 and paper 2. Candidates will now have to compulsorily attend all five questions instead of choosing any five out of the 10 questions. The tie-breaking rule for the JEE Main 2025 exam has been changed
Moreover, NTA has dropped the age criteria and anyone can apply irrespective of age. There is also no age limit. The number of exam cities has been reduced from 300 to 284. Additionally, the number of international exam cities has also dropped.
