Jeevan Pramaan Patra deadline: Last date for pensioners to submit life certificates

New Delhi: In India, there is a biometric-enabled digital service for pensioners which is known as Jeevan Pramaan. The pensioners of any government in the country can benefit from this facility. After retirement, a major requirement of the pensioners is to provide life certificates to the authorities agencies disbursing pensions like banks and Post Offices. After that, they get the pension. To get the life certificate, the person has to either go to the Pension Disbursing Agency or have the Life Certificate issued by the authority where they have served earlier and have it delivered to the disbursing agency.

For the prospective pensioners, getting the certificate can be a great hazard. Hence, the Jeevan Pramaan or the Digital Life Certificate for Pensioners Scheme has digitised the entire process of securing the life certificate. It aims to make the process of getting this certificate easier for pensioners. Now, pensioners do not need to physically go to the disbursing agency or the certification authority.

What is the last date of life certificate for pensioners in 2024?

The deadline to submit the Jeevan Pramaan Patra for government pensioners is November 30, 2024. The government has made a special case for those who are 80 years old and above and has allowed them to file an Annual Life Certificate from October 1 instead of November 1. It has given extra time to very senior pensioners. It is important to note that the deadline remains November 30.
