Jensen Huang, president and CEO of chipmaker Nvidia, has surpassed billionaire Mark Zuckerberg in year-to-date wealth gain with $81.3 billion added since January.

Huang’s net worth has increased the most this year among the 500 billionaires listed on the Bloomberg Billionaires Index.

Zuckerberg, CEO of social media giant Meta Platforms, followed with a $77.9-billion spike.

But in terms of net worth, Zuckerberg ranked 3rd globally at $206 billion, while Huang came in 11th at $125 billion.

Nvidia shares have repeatedly climbed to new peaks this year, having jumped 198% amid a boom in demand for chips that support artificial intelligence.

Most analysts believe the stock still has further to climb as Huang has recently said that there was still “insane” demand for the company’s Blackwell AI chips.

Bank of America analysts last week raised their price target for Nvidia from $165 to $190, calling it a “top AI pick.”
