District Superintendent of Police Dr. Vimal Kumar told in a press conference that the police had received secret information that an attempt was being made to sell stolen silver in Dhanwar police station area. After this the information was verified and during anti crime investigation a Swift Dezire car was searched in Dhanwar area.
Kanhaiya, missing from Ranchi’s Ormanjhi, recovered from Koderma after 61 days, after part-part investigation, police got another big success.
During the search, six silver ingots, whose total weight was more than 32 kg, were recovered from the car. Along with this, many other jewelery including anklets, toe rings, chains, bracelets, pan leaves made of silver were seized. According to the police, the total value of the recovered silver is estimated to be more than Rs 1 crore.

SP Dr. Vimal Kumar said that in this case the car driver Hazrat Ansari, a resident of Dhanwar, has been arrested. Preliminary investigation revealed that they were planning to sell it in a jewelery shop located in Dhanwar.
Theft in the bank manager’s flat in Ramgarh’s Panchavati apartment, thieves took away jewelery and goods worth lakhs.
As soon as the information about the sale of stolen jewelery was received, a special team was formed under the leadership of the Sub-Divisional Police Officer which carried out the entire raid. The SP said that the arrested accused are being interrogated and efforts are being made to identify and arrest other gang members involved in this theft and expose the entire network.
