Chief Medical Superintendent Sachin Mahor on the incident

Speaking to ANI, Chief Medical Superintendent Sachin Mahor said, the fire broke out due to a short circuit between 10.30-10.45 pm last night. There were 49 babies in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). 39 were rescued and 10 children died. All the children rescued so far are stable. The bodies of 3 infants are yet to be identified, the process of identification is underway so that the bodies can be handed over to their parents…”
