Latest News :- Jharkhand Assembly elections will be held in two phases on 13 and 20 November. All competing parties will have to field their families and heirs like never before. In the main contest here, a large number of heirs and families of leaders of political parties are visible in the list of candidates released by the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) and the Bharat Alliance. This problem has also started in BJP which mainly criticizes the politics of succession.

Jamshedpur East seat has been allotted to Purnima Sahu, daughter-in-law of former Jharkhand BJP chief minister Raghubar Das. Purnima's victory is considered certain in this assembly constituency, which is considered a stronghold of BJP. Presently Raghubar Das is the Governor of Odisha. BJP has given a chance to another former Chief Minister of Jharkhand and wife of senior BJP leader Arjun Munda, Meera Munda. Union Minister Arjun Munda has a lot of influence in his home state Jharkhand. With this, it is considered certain that he will win from Bodka seat, from where his wife Meera is contesting.

Madhugora became the Chief Minister of Jharkhand as an independent MLA. Madhu Koda's wife Geeta Koda, who is currently joining BJP, is getting a chance to contest elections from Jagannathpur seat. Sita Soren is the sister-in-law of Jharkhand Chief Minister and Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) leader Hemant Soren. He had joined BJP before the Lok Sabha elections. Contested from Dumka Lok Sabha seat and lost to Sibusoran.

Therefore, BJP has given Sita a chance to contest the assembly elections again from Jamdara seat. Babulal Soran, son of former JMM leader Sampat Soran, is also contesting from Katchila assembly constituency on behalf of BJP. When Hemant Soranka went to jail, Sambhai Soran was the acting Chief Minister. Then Hemant became dissatisfied with the Chief Minister and joined BJP. Similarly, Sunita Chaudhary, wife of MP Chandra Prakash Chaudhary, president of BJP's ally All Students Union Party, is contesting elections from Ramgarh for the party. Chandra Prakash's brother Roshan Lal Choudhary is contesting from Pargagaon seat.

In the ruling party, Chief Minister Hemant Soran's brother Vasant Soran is contesting from Dumka on behalf of JMM. When Chief Minister Hemant was in jail, his wife Kalpana Murmu Soran won the by-election of Jharkhand Kanthe constituency and became MLA. Hemand's father and former Chief Minister Sibu Soren is an MP. It is being told that more families will be included in the list of candidates to be released soon.
