List of BJP's star campaigners released in Jharkhand, many stalwarts including Modi, Shah are included

The date of assembly elections in Jharkhand has been announced. Since then, the political parties here are leaving no stone unturned to compete with each other. Bharatiya Janata Party has even made the list of its star campaigners today. This list includes names of many leaders including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Minister JP Nadda, Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh, Nitin Gadkari, Shivraj Singh Chauhan, Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma, UP CM Yogi Adityanath.

Former CM Champai Soren filed nomination

Former Jharkhand chief minister Champai Soren, AJSU party chief Sudesh Mahato and others filed nominations for the state assembly elections on Friday. Soren filed his nomination as BJP candidate from Seraikela. Voting will be held in the first phase on November 13 in 43 assembly constituencies of the state, which includes Seraikela. Claiming that he was “humiliated” by JMM leaders, Soren, who joined the Bharatiya Janata Party on August 30, said there was a wave in favor of the BJP in the state.

AJSU is a constituent of the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in Jharkhand. According to the seat sharing system in NDA, BJP will contest on 68 seats, AJSU Party on 10, Janata Dal (United) on two and LJP (Ram Vilas) on one seat. Jharkhand Assembly elections will be held in two phases on November 13 and November 20 and counting of votes will take place on November 23.

Till Thursday, 433 candidates filed nominations for 43 assembly seats in the first phase. The process of filing nominations for the second phase started from October 22 and will continue till October 29.
