Mandu, Kanke, Daldenganj, Chhatarpur and Latehar were the seats where candidates won by very small margins. These seats could be decided in a close contest till the last round. Recounting was also done to decide the victory on these seats.
Decision of victory or defeat by small margin
In Kanke Assembly seat, Suresh Kumar Baitha of Congress defeated Dr. Jitu Charan Ram of BJP by 968 votes.
From Daltonganj seat, Alok Kumar Chaurasia of BJP defeated Krishna Nand Tripathi of Congress by 890 votes.
In Chhatarpur seat, Radha Krishna Kishore of Congress defeated Pushpa Devi of BJP by 736 votes.
In Mandu seat, Nirmal Mahato of AJSU Party defeated Jai Prakash Bhai Patel of Congress by 231 votes.
In Latehar seat, BJP's Prakash Ram defeated JMM's Baidyanath Ram by 434 votes.
Even in a close contest from Nirsa, CPIML's Arup Chatterjee won by 1808 votes.
