Entry of ‘Planning Fellow’ in every district in Jharkhand! Now there will be strict monitoring of schemes and faster development

Jharkhand News: Jharkhand government is going to take a new step to implement the schemes in a better way in all the 24 districts of the state. Under this, “Planning Fellow” will be appointed in every district. These appointments will be on contract basis. The aim of the government is that the schemes should be implemented properly, they should be monitored properly and they can also be evaluated from time to time.

What will be the main work of Planning Fellow?

The main work of these planning fellows will be to help the district administration officials. They will analyze the data related to the schemes and on the basis of that will help in implementing the schemes. With this, the schemes will be implemented more effectively and their benefits will reach the people in a better way.

The proposal to set up a PMU was also approved.

The government has also decided that one planning fellow will be appointed in all the district planning offices. Apart from this, the proposal to create PMU (Project Management Unit) in various departments of the state has also been approved. This is expected to bring further improvement in the management and implementation of schemes.

What is the main objective

The main objective of appointment of these fellows is to continuously monitor the schemes in the districts. They will ensure that the schemes are running as per the set standards and their targets are being achieved on time. This will help the administration to accurately assess the progress of the schemes.

Authorized data bank will be ready at district level

Planning Fellows will also play an important role in identifying and eliminating problems arising in the implementation of plans. They will create an authorized data bank at the district level, which will have all the necessary information related to the schemes. On the basis of this data, coordination between various departments will be better and a detailed ‘district profile’ of the districts will also be prepared.

How will these personnel be recruited?

The government will decide the service conditions for these posts on the basis of Aspirational Block Programme. This means that their working style and responsibilities will be determined according to the already ongoing development programs. The special thing is that these personnel will not be recruited directly, but will be done through outsourcing (external agency).

Budget has been fixed at Rs 50 lakh

The government has fixed a budget of about Rs 50 lakh for this entire scheme, which has been given to the planning department. Now soon the department will issue guidelines for the appointment of these posts and the entire process will be clarified. This initiative is being considered an important step towards making development plans in Jharkhand more transparent, effective and result-based.
