Jharkhand Public Service Commission has announced recruitment for 355 posts under Polytechnic Lecturer Recruitment 2026. Eligible candidates can apply online till 12 March 2026. Selection will be based on merit and interview.

JPSC Lecturer Recruitment 2026: This is a very special time for the youth preparing for government jobs in Jharkhand. Jharkhand Public Service Commission has announced to start the recruitment process for 355 posts of lecturer in government polytechnic institutes of the state. This appointment will be made under the Higher and Technical Education Department.

This recruitment was being awaited for a long time. Now after the release of the notification, there is an atmosphere of enthusiasm among the candidates. Interested and eligible candidates can apply online till 12 March 2026.

Under this recruitment drive, lecturers will be appointed to a total of 355 posts. All these posts will be in Polytechnic Colleges of Jharkhand Government. Posts have been earmarked for different technical and academic subjects. Complete information about subject wise posts is given in the official notification.

Educational qualification

Candidates applying for the post of Lecturer must have the required educational qualification in the relevant subject. Selection in this recruitment is not based only on the examination, but marks will also be given on the basis of your studies, research and achievements.

If a candidate has secured 60 percent or more marks in Graduation, he/she will be given 15 marks. If you get marks between 55 to 60 percent, you will get 10 marks and if you get marks between 45 to 55 percent, you will get 5 marks.

If you have 60 percent or more marks in Post Graduation, you will get 20 marks. If the score is between 55 to 60 percent, 15 marks will be given. Reserved category candidates can be given 15 marks even if they score more than 50 percent.

Benefits of research and higher qualifications

If the candidate has done M.Phil, he/she will get maximum 7 marks. PhD degree holders will be given 15 marks.

Apart from this, candidates who qualify NET, JET or JRF can get 10 to 15 marks. For candidates with engineering background, 7.5 to 15 marks have been fixed on the basis of GATE score.

Separate marks are also prescribed for research papers, teaching experience and national or state level awards. It is clear from this that this recruitment is completely based on merit-based system.

This recruitment process also includes interview. A total of 20 marks have been set for the interview. In this, the subject knowledge, teaching skills and communication ability of the candidate will be tested.

Age limit and relaxation

The minimum age of the applying candidates has been fixed at 21 years and maximum age at 40 years.

Reserved category candidates will be given relaxation in maximum age limit as per Jharkhand Government rules. Age will be calculated as per the cut-off date given in the notification.

How will the selection process happen?

The selection process for this recruitment will be completed in several stages. First of all, marks will be added on the basis of candidate’s educational qualification, research, experience and achievements. After this, written examination or qualifying score like NET, GATE will be taken into consideration.

There will be an interview in the final stage. The final merit list will be prepared by combining the marks of all the stages.

Application fee information

To apply, General, OBC and EBC category candidates will have to pay a fee of Rs 600.

The application fee for SC and ST category candidates of Jharkhand has been kept at Rs 150. Whereas candidates with 40 percent or more disability have been completely exempted from the application fee.

Under this recruitment, the selected candidates will be given salary under pay level 9A. The starting salary will be Rs 56,100, which can go up to Rs 1,77,500.
