Alia Bhatt is credited with giving most of the box office hits. Of the 17 theatrical releases, 8 films have grossed more than ₹100 crore at the domestic box office. The lowest grossing film of his career is the Imtiaz Ali directed Highway (2014), which earned ₹30.61 crore.

However, looking at the collections and box office predictions of Jigra so far, it would be safe to assume that the film could surpass Highway to become Alia Bhatt's lowest grossing film till date. Highway, Shaandaar (2015), Udta Punjab (2016), Dear Zindagi (2016) and Student of the Year (2012) remain the top 5 lowest grossing films of the actress.
