Jio, Vi and Airtel had to pay heavily for making recharges expensive; lakhs of customers lost, BSNL cut off the fun

BSNL Subscribers Increase: In the month of July, the country's leading private telecom companies had increased the recharge plans by 20-21 percent as compared to earlier, which has put an additional burden on the pockets of the customers. The customers' displeasure over this decision of the companies was openly expressed on social media. However, the decision of increasing the recharges seems to be costly for the companies now.

In fact, after the recharge became expensive, the subscribers of major telecom companies like Jio, Airtel and Vi have decreased rapidly. Whereas, there has been a tremendous jump in the number of customers of the government telecom company BSNL. According to a report, Jio lost 7.58 lakh subscribers and Vodafone Idea lost 14.1 lakh subscribers in July. At the same time, Airtel lost the most subscribers of 16.9 lakh.

On the other hand, BSNL is directly benefited by the high tariffs of private companies, customers have turned to the government company for cheaper recharges. According to the report, BSNL subscribers increased by 29.3 lakh in July. After which the company has started working on basic infrastructure to improve its service. Customers can get 4G service within the next one year.
