JioHotstar and state government team up to “identify and nurture young creative talents”
The other day, Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin announced through an X post that the Government of Tamil Nadu and JioHotstar have signed an agreement to “identify and nurture young creative talents by providing them all the support for their creative excellence”. Udhayanidhi Stalin launched the initiative, named JioHotstar South Unbound, yesterday in Chennai. Many dignitaries from the world of cinema and the streaming company’s representatives attended the event, including Kamal Haasan. Udhayanidhi Stalin also acknowledged Kamal, who has become part of the Rajya Sabha as an MP, in his X post. The initiative aims to strengthen “the creative economy of the southern states.” To help achieve this mission, JioHotstar has announced an investment of Rs 12,000 crore to be made “across the four southern states, including Rs 4,000 crore for Tamil Nadu.”
