Keanu Reeves new John Wick sequel gets promising update from Lionsgate boss.
Following the release of the last sequel in 2023, the makers made a spin-off movie titled Ballerina starring Ana de Armas.
Earlier this month, Lionsgate has confirmed that a standalone movie on Donnie Yen’s Caine is in development.
Amid the confirmation of the new spin-off movie, the head of production company Adam Fogelson has also revealed that the fifth John Wick sequel is also in works.
He told Business Insider, “Chad and Keanu have an idea that they think can be really exciting.”
However, he did not share any information regarding the timeline of the new installment, but as per his words, the director and actor have a core idea in their minds for next entry.
“There are a lot of steps, so I wouldn’t want to put a timeline on it. But in terms of finding a core idea, they seem to have landed on something that they are excited about, and now we’ll see.”
John Wick: Chapter 4 ended killing of the titular character. However, the fans are still hoping to see the rand return of Keanu as John, the assassin from the High Table.
The fourth movie starred Reeves, Yen along with Bill Skarsgard, Scott Adkins, Lance Reddick, and Ian McShane.
